My work this fall has many transitional landscape pieces that reflect the light and color of nature. My emphasis is still on pet portraits that capture personality as well as likeness. My work has extended to include a multitude of bird paintings.

Benjamin Guidry uses the term “culture marks” in reference to the seas of gestural and graphic lines which reverberate within his paintings. Referencing artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Georg Baselitz, and Keith Haring, he employs expressive paint strokes coinciding with illustrative shapes and figures.
