Pottery Alley is a community studio where students of all ages and skill levels can experience playing in clay. They offer classes in Wheel and Handbuilding as well as one day workshops. All of their instructors have years of experience and they create anything from homemade decals on pottery, functional ware, Raku, wood fired pottery, art pieces and sculpture.

Susannah Craig - Mud Dance Studio

  • I make organic, freeform handbuilt pieces in clay that range from sculpture to plates.  I use hand-carved stamps, lace impressions and things found in nature to create the textures on my pieces.

Susan Chiquelin

  • The focus of my pottery is usually functional, but I make each piece with an artistic flair so that it becomes unique. My nonfunctional pieces are often fights of fantasy that are pure art for art’s sake. Some of my work combines pottery with basketry weaving; this process gives me the opportunity to express my creativity. Pottery is my passion.

  • I make elegant contemporary pottery. I like to think of it as functional art. My pottery is wheel thrown.
